Hosting the National University of Singapore Symphony Orchestra (NUSSO) at Sunway University

We were delighted to welcome students from NUSSO to the new facilities of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sunway Square for a meaningful exchange on the creative industries in Malaysia.

A special highlight was the insightful session led by Melissa Teoh, Producing Artistic Director of the Jeffrey Cheah Performing Arts Centre, who shared perspectives on the evolving creative ecosystem and the role of arts institutions in shaping talent, industry growth, and regional collaborations.

Our sincere thanks to Professor Tze Law (Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, NUS) for initiating this valuable collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Partnerships like this strengthen cross-border learning, artistic dialogue, and opportunities for our students, which we will be discussing further together next week at the SEADOM (Southeast Asia Directors of Music Association) Congress in Singapore.

We are especially excited that our music students and members of NUSSO will be performing together at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS this Saturday.
