High Achievers Ceremony February 2026: Celebrating Excellence and Academic Distinction

The A-Level Programme at Sunway College Kuala Lumpur proudly hosted the High Achievers Ceremony on Thursday, 26 February 2026, at Sir Jeffrey Cheah Hall. The ceremony served as an important platform to recognise students who demonstrated exceptional academic performance in the October/November 2025 examination series, as well as exemplary commitment throughout their studies.

This year, the event celebrated the accomplishments of 174 award recipients who achieved 3 A*/A and above, with 110 students and a total of 175 guests in attendance. The strong turnout reflected the collective pride shared by families, lecturers, and the wider Sunway community in recognising the achievements of these high-performing students.

The event began with registration and a photo session, followed by a Welcome Address by Ms Ruth Cheah, Director of the A-Level Programme. Prof Cheng Mien Wee, Executive Director of the Pre-University Programme and Sunway International School, then delivered a Congratulatory Speech, commending the students’ dedication and resilience.

A meaningful Sunway Alumni Sharing Session was subsequently conducted by Mr Marvin Mah from Student Life, offering students valuable insights into post-A-Level pathways. The ceremony then proceeded with the Certificate Presentation, where each high achiever was honoured on stage.

The High Achievers Ceremony not only honoured outstanding academic performance but also celebrated the values of resilience, discipline, and continuous improvement, which are hallmarks of the A-Level Programme at Sunway College. The achievements of this year’s recipients stand as a testament to the strong academic culture fostered by dedicated educators and the unwavering support of families.
