Sunway College Johor Bahru Library & Learning Commons is looking for an executive to work with a team to support user education and promote learning services
  • Perform day to day duties/tasks to ensure the efficient operations of the Library & Learning Commons
  • Assist with the planning, design and implementation of library instructional services for users, eg. workshops on information search strategies, citation and referencing etc to promote information literacy among college learners
  • To man the Help Desk and manage enquiries from users seeking help about information sources, general computing skills and library facilities
  • To liaise/collaborate with members of the academic team to increase awareness on quality learning sources, study skills, academic skills and English learning within the College community
  • Collect, evaluate and compile instructional service statistics
  • Plan and compile guides on learning and research resources including content creation for library portal
  • Bachelor/Master degree preferably in Library and Information Science or Education
  • Experienced in working with students, preferably at tertiary level
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications, especially Excel
  • Information literacy and basic research skills
  • Cheerful and friendly disposition, with excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Initiative to learn and gain new knowledge and skills
  • Willing to work on shifts and Saturdays


The incumbent is responsible for the recruitment of new students and playing a vital role in marketing support

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualifications in any discipline

  • Preferably with 1 year of working experience in the marketing field

  • Pleasant and friendly disposition outgoing and creative with good leadership qualities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and good command of the English Language

  • A self-starter with qualities of a team player and yet is able to work independently

  • Possesses own transport


The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining IT facilities within the college and perform administrative functions for the IT Services department

  • Provide helpdesk and technical support to end users

  • Managing and maintaining the hardware and software in the computer labs

  • Desktop PC, printer and IT equipment support, upgrade and maintenance

  • Servers and system administration and support

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in related field

  • Preferably 1 year of related working experience

  • Good knowledge and strong skills in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, support and maintenance of network, hardware and software

  • A self-starter with qualities of a team player and yet able to work independently

  • Possess high sense of responsibility and integrity

  • Working knowledge of audio visual equipment including projector would be a plus

  • To perform general maintenance, which includes trouble-shooting and rectification of electrical, plumbing works / installation

  • To assist in monitoring and supervising of project works and servicing by contractor

  • To assist in logistics arrangement for all college related events and functions

  • Minimum SPM qualification
  • At least 1 year of working experience in related field
  • Skilled in basic technical and maintenance tasks

  • Basic computer knowledge would be an advantage

  • Possess high sense of responsibility and integrity

  • A self-starter with qualities of a team player yet is able to work independently

  • Willing to work long hours / weekends / public holidays
  • To provide prompt, accurate, effective and efficient administrative support at the counter / front desk

  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the student database and assigned records

  • To assist in ensuring smooth operations of the administration department at all times

  • Any other duties assigned from time to time
  • Candidate should possess at least a Diploma, preferably in a related field
  • Preference will be given to candidate with relevant / related experience
  • IT literate with good organisational skills

  • Meticulous and attentive to details

  • Good interpersonal skills and team player
