The programme provides students with the resources and support to help them realise their full potential and propel them towards becoming a successful media and communications practitioner.  It focuses on in-depth knowledge of media and communications through multimedia, advertising design, public relations, corporate communications, journalism and broadcasting.  Students will have continuous opportunities to be exposed and engaged in various aspects of media and communications.

The curriculum emphasises on presentation skills where students will be trained to discuss and defend their ideas, concepts and views through oral and written communication.  In addition, there will also be elements of Business and Arts as these compositions are carefully chosen because they are inter-related and equip students to be versatile and competitive.

 

Programme Highlights

Accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Students will be exposed to a balance of theoretical and practical modules across Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism and Broadcasting.

Focuses on knowledge of social media and IT skills to equip students to be media savvy so as to communicate effectively.

Entry Requirements

• Pass SPM/O Level with minimum 3 credits including English

• Other equivalent qualifications approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia

 

 

 

MOHE Compulsory General Studies Courses/Matapelajaran Umum (MPU) & Bahasa Kebangsaan Requirements

Malaysian and International Students are required to pass the MOHE Compulsory General Studies courses.  Additionally, Local Students who do not have SPM qualification or did not obtain a credit in Bahasa Melayu in SPM, are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A.
