Sunway Education Group Riang Ria Raya 2021

The SEG team celebrated first day of Raya together with 71 students virtually on the 13th of May.

The virtual celebration is not as simple as having a scrumptious Raya lunch from Sunway Lagoon, there were also a number of activities such as Doa Recitation, Raya Greetings from staff and students, Performances by our Sunway alumni and student, Raya Quiz and Lucky Draw! Not to forget the spontaneous performance by the Dean from School of Arts, Professor Donald William Bowyer who pulled off an amazing Jazz solo, The Lockdown Blues! All in all, so long our Sunway students had fun and we had fun too!

Present at the virtual celebration were Professor Elizabeth Lee, CEO of Sunway Education Group; Mr Teo Ee Sing, Executive Director - Sunway College; Ms Ng Beng Lean, Group Registrar; Mr Danial Abdul Rahman, Director - Office of the CEO; Ms Lee Siok Ping, Director of Student LIFE; Ms Lim Shui Chin, Director - International Office and Special Projects; Pn Siti Fariza Mohd Dahlan, Director of University Services; YM Datin Raja Riza Shazmin Raja Badrul Shah, Director of Philanthropy; Professor Abhimanyu Veerakumarasiva, Professor and Dean - School of Medical and Life Sciences; Professor Donald William Bowyer, Professor of Music and Dean - School of Arts; Professor Serge Demidenko, Professor and Dean - School of Engineering and Technology; Pn Adawiah Norli Yusuf, Director - Sunway Diploma Studies; Dr Yazilmiwati Yaacob, Head - MOE General Studies Department; fellow colleagues; 71 Sunway University, Sunway College, Sunway International School and Monash students.

In adhering to the SOPs for the COVID-19 pandemic and the new normal, the meal was distributed to the students at their residences/hostels. The SEG team hopes to assure our students that they are not left out despite being separated with their loved ones during this festive season.
