On-Campus Composting: Achieving Zero Waste Eco System on Campus
The Composting Room located at the loading bay area at Sunway University is a joint collaboration between Facilities Services and the SMS2E Research Cluster Grand headed by Professor Mohamed Kheireddine and Dr Jane Gew to re-purpose food waste to compost. The Cafeteria tenants and campus cleaners also have an opportunity to join in this composting initiative and learn the whole process of food composting and educated to assist in the collection of the food waste and assist in the of the composting process. Sharing Knowledge Through Seed Bomb Workshop
Sunway Material Smart Science and Engineering (SMS2E) Research Cluster was recently invited by Marketing Office, Sunway University to conduct a four-day seed bomb workshop for 120 school teachers on Teachers' Day on 31 May to 3 June 2022.
