It was truly a wonderful celebration at the Colours of Malaysia: The Art of Amirudin Ariffin book launch! This launch was hosted by Sunway University Press in strategic partnership with the National Art Gallery Malaysia and the National Book Council of Malaysia.
The event was graced by the presence of YBhg. Dato' Indera Dayang Fatimah Tom Abang Saufi, Chairman of the National Visual Arts Development Board, who delivered the opening address. We were proud to hear that the National Book Council of Malaysia, the highest awarding body in Malaysia for book-related matters, has selected Colours of Malaysia: The Art of Amirudin Ariffin as one of the 50 Best Malaysian Titles for International Rights 2021/22. Sunway University and Hungarian Universities Promoting Transnational Education |
Sunway University collaborated with the Embassy of Malaysia, Hungary at the Universities of Nyiregyhaza, Miskolc and Debrecen to promote opportunities for transnational higher education. MOUs were signed between Sunway University and three Hungarian Universities, paving the way for educational cooperation in the fields of sustainable development, business, cross cultural communication, research and exchanges.

Recently, we were privileged to have Hungary’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Her Excellency Dr Petra Ponevács-Pana at a forum, "The Brief Introduction to Hungary and Hungarians", where she shared her insights about scholarships the Hungarian government offers for Malaysian students in the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum scheme.
This forum marked our first milestone of upcoming collaborations with three Hungarian universities, University Of Debrecen, Miskolci Egyetem (University of Miskolc), and University of Nyíregyháza. The Department of Psychology, in partnership with Sunway University Press, Peer Counselling Volunteers and Sunway Psychology Club organised their third Break Up Exhibition public event at Sunway University.
The event was inspired by the Museum of Broken Relationship in Zagreb, Croatia. The aim of the exhibition was to normalise break ups, grief, separations and the emotional pain associated with them. This exhibition hoped to impress onto people that they are not alone in their journey of recovering from separations.
