Sunway Township

Bandar Sunway is a township that was designed more than a decade ago to depict a resort tucked neatly within the city. It is quite a wonder, with a hospital, a shopping mall, a theme park, hotels and educational institutions surrounding the township. It is a well-developed and concentrated township that portrays the ideal city lifestyle, with the advantages of good infrastructure, a wide range of amenities and conveniences.

Leisure & Entertainment

Winner of Asia's Best Attraction Award for 3 consecutive years, Sunway Lagoon maintains international recognition as an award-winning tourist landmark and a venue for adventure and fun. Sunway Lagoon has progressed to be the biggest and most successful multi-attraction destination in Malaysia, with its 5 signature parks €“ Water Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, Extreme Park and Scream Park.

It is a unique land of play and leisure that spans over 88 acres, giving it the capability to host events of any size from 70 to a staggering crowd of 70,000. Various international events have been held at the park such as the Quicksilver Revolution Tour, the Backstreet Boys' Showcase and the upcoming MTV World Stages. It has the world's largest man-made sandy surf beach, the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge, different themed lands with over 30 water and amusement park rides, a wildlife interactive zoo, and latest attraction being Lynton V Harris' Scream Park, a park personifying the 'live' version of the Fox hit TV programme, Prison Break.

The most popular landmark in Bandar Sunway has got to be the Egyptian-inspired Sunway Pyramid shopping centre with a lion guarding the main entrance. Opened in 1997, the shopping mall houses a cineplex, a 48-lane bowling alley, a 12-screen Cineplex and an ice-skating rink in addition to more than 700 shops. It is also the only themed lifestyle and entertainment shopping mall in Malaysia and the region.

Sunway Medical Centre is a specialist tertiary healthcare centre under going expansion. As of 2009, Sunway Medical Centre has a total of 350 inpatient beds, 90 specialist consultation suites, 12 operating theatres and a medical education centre. It offers a comprehensive range of acute, tertiary level medical services as well as preventive and wellness care. SunMed is an ISO 9001:2000, MS ISO 15189 and Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) accredited private hospital.

Transportation & Connectivity

Bandar Sunway is well-connected to the cities of Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya and the township of Subang Jaya and Klang via a network of highways, namely the Federal Highway, the Shah Alam Expressway, the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), the New Pantai Expressway (NPE), the North-South Expressway Central Link and the Damansara-Puchong Expressway. Bandar Sunway is also served by an urban-suburb rail links, such as the KTM Komuter and the Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit (LRT).

The township is located at a 25 minutes leisure drive to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, and is a 35 minutes drive to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
