
Sunway University is affiliated with Lancaster University, a world-class institution of higher learning who has consistently maintained its high rankings over the years in the various respected league tables. Lancaster University is ranked number 16 out of 117 in the UK Guardian University league table 2010 and number 23 out of 114 in the Times Good Universities Guide 2010.
The Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) within Lancaster University is outstanding among Schools and Universities involved in management studies. The School has more than 100 core faculties with support colleagues, and a large network of leadership and enterprise practitioners with adjunct faculty across the world.
The Financial Times Survey of 2008 has ranked LUMS in fourth position among UK Management Programmes, and the school has also gained the triple accreditation for its Master's courses - AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB - in recognition of the quality of teaching, learning and research. The School is also rated as one of the top two business schools in the UK for research and for excellent teaching quality by the UK Government (Research Assessment Exercise and Higher Education Funding Council, 2004).
In the recently released Financial Times Global MBA 2009, Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) ranks no. 4 in the UK and no. 27 in the world - again reinforcing the universities' unwavering commitment towards excellence.

The Computing Department at Lancaster University has an international reputation for systems research, was rated 5A in the 2008 UK government research assessment exercise, and is currently ranked 7th in the UK for Computing research by the Guardian University Guide 2008. In the more recent Guardian University Guide 2010, Lancaster University was ranked number 19 for the computer sciences and IT subject areas. The computing department has strong industrial links and is currently funded by, and working with, a variety of industrial partners including Cisco, Microsoft, British Telecom, Orange, Sony and Ericsson.
InfoLab21 is Lancaster University's world-class research, development and business centre in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Acknowledged as an ICT centre of excellence, it houses the Departments of Computing and Communications as well as the industry focused Knowledge Business Centre which supports technology transfer and research commercialisation.
