We are the first in Malaysia to be given full rights by SAS Institute Inc. USA (SAS) to run a specialisation in the areas of Business Intelligence and Data Mining for our popular BSc (Hons) Information Systems (BIS) degree programme.

A selected group of Business Intelligence and Data Mining subjects, which is part of the BIS programme, has been recognised by SAS for the qualification of the certificate of Business Intelligence programme. Upon completion of the four required subjects and a group/final year project related to Business Intelligence and Data Mining, BIS students will be awarded this special certificate.

A number of industry advisors are engaged by us to ensure good real-world data sets and realistic problems are formulated by consultation with them. Our undergraduates in the Information Systems programme are selected to participate in internships with SAS Malaysia. This provides an exclusive opportunity to learn from professionals in the field and the chance to work closely with SAS clients in Data mining and Text mining application.
