Sunway Talent Scholarship

A. Music

Awarded to students with outstanding music achievements.

Value

25% - 75% waiver of tuition fee for Pre-University/Foundation/ Diploma and Undergraduate Programmes

Eligibility

a. Malaysian and international students studying in fulltime Sunway University.

b. Students with relevant music background as below may apply:

• Music background (Minimum Grade 6 or played in the school bands)
• Singing background or joined the school choir

c. Candidates are required to attend live audition where is required to play 2 pieces.

Terms and Condition

• The scholarship is offered strictly to full-time registered stduents of Sunway University.
• Offer of the scholarship will only be made when the Sunway University receives the actual results.
• The scholarship is awarded in the form of tuition fee waiver.
• The schedule of general fee must be paid as and when required, in accordance to Sunway University's policy on enrolment and fees.
• The recipients should at least pass with minimum grade required by the respective programme.
• Recipients are required to reapply for the continuation of the scholarship through Student Services Department on a yearly basis.
• Should the recipient be in accpetance of any other scholarship at any amount whatsoever, the scholarship will be automatically terminated.

Application Deadlines: 2 weeks after the commencement date of programme or 2 weeks after the release of actual results. Application form is as attached with the brochure.

B. Sports

Awarded to students with outstanding sports achievement at the state and national level

Value of Scholarship

• 25% discount in tuition fee for State Athletes
• 50% discount in tuition fee for National Athletes

Eligibility Criteria

• Sports affiliated with Olympic Council Malaysia.
• Malaysian students studying full-time in Sunway University who are State or National athletes (2 years prior to joining Sunway University-year 2010).
• The Sports Scholarship are open to Malaysians only.
• Verification by State or National Sports Association.

Terms & Conditions

• Qualified candidates MUST represent University in MAPCU games or any other tournaments as and when required by the University Management
• Sports Scholarship athletes must maintain good grades
• Athletes are required to contribute at least 20 hours per year on conducting sports training and workshop, clinical work etc (exclude competition hours)
• The Sports Scholarship is reviewed on a yearly basis. Scholarships can be revoked based on the discretion of the University
