
If you are unhappy or have no interest in your current programme of study, it may be possible to transfer (change) to another programme.
This is an important decision and it should not be taken lightly. It is essential that you understand the implications that this may have on your study and your future career. We strongly advise you to discuss your options with your School. Further help and advice are available at:
You will need to complete a Transfer form and submit it to a staff at the Enquiry Services Counter in the Registry or at the International Student Office. Your Student ID Card must be returned to the University when you submit the completed form.
You will be notified about the results of your request through your iMail email account. The form is also available for download through iZone.

| Students on Scholarship | If you are on a scholarship, you should check with the Scholarship section of the Student Services on how the change of programmes affects your scholarship status. You should do this before you apply to change programmes. |

If you are a sponsored student, you are usually not allowed to change programmes. You should seek advice from the sponsorship body financing your current programme before you apply to change programmes. |

Tuition Fee |
Tuition fee paid in your current programme may be transferrable only once and it is not refundable. You should read the University-wide Policies on Fees, Deposits and Charges. |

Outcome of Application for Transfer |
You will be first notified through your iMail email account. An official transfer letter will then be issued upon successful processing of your application. |

Application Fee |
A fee will be charged for your application to the new programme. You should make your payment at the Financial Services Payment Counter. |

Transfer of Credits and Subject Exemptions |
You may seek advice from School of the new programme about your eligibility for transfer of credits or subject exemptions. If you are eligible, you must submit an application to the School of the new programme by the 2nd week of the first semester in the new programme using an Exemption Form. |
