Eligibility & Risks

You are eligible if:

1. Your baby is exposed to at least one Chinese language/ dialect (i.e. Mandarin, Cantonese, etc). 

2. You are the biological parent (mother or father) of a baby who is 6 months or 9 months old or younger. Please contact us at 03-7491-8622 ext. 3130 or email: pjwoo@sunway.edu.my to find out.

3. The pregnancy, birth and baby’s development is normal.

Risks

The risks in this study are minimal. You and your infants are required to come in for the experiment once only.

The infants will be exposed to some abstract pictures and some tones in a quiet room. The tones are not loud and caregivers will be with the infants throughout the experiment sessions.

If the baby is tired, we can give him/her a break before the study continues or reschedule the appointment.
