The Language Centre of Sunway University offers English Language Courses, which are designed to equip students with the language skills needed for other academic programmes.

A Welcome Message

Hello to all language learners!

Dr. Stephen Hall As a language learner myself, I like to have fun when learning a new language. I and my team of dedicated lecturers aim to do the same when we teach and learn at Sunway University.

Enjoying a language means enjoying learning with others from around the world. Enjoying also means learning with specialist teachers who understand how to make language learning focused and rewarding. Our teachers are all experienced English Language Teaching graduates.

Our four level Intensive English programme offers pathways from English for Everyday life to English for Academic Purposes. This means that a learner will learn English for communication as well as English for study to prepare for Diplomas or Degrees. For the Intensive English Programme of Sunway University I and my colleagues select high interest and up to date textbooks, multimedia and tasks. Learning is paced to meet each individuals needs.

We provide different ways of language learning and also offer test preparation courses and Vacation English. We help each and every one of our students to build English language skills in a fun and rewarding way.

I apply what I know from thirty years in English language teaching to make our learning here a worthwhile experience for all. I look forward to welcoming you to our international campus.

Intensive English Programme

A full-time intensive English proficiency and preparatory programme, the Intensive English Programme (IEP) equips students to study courses in English at the college level.

Vacation English School

The Vacation English School (VES) is a dynamic programme designed to encourage students to broaden their use of English through a diverse range of organised activities.

International Test Preparation Courses

These are courses designed to prepare students for the following English language examinations which meet the language entry requirements for overseas tertiary education.
