Diploma in Graphic & Multimedia Design

This full-time seven semesters course offers liberal, theoretical and design studies in the field of graphic design and multimedia design. It provides a firm grounding in the development of skills and knowledge necessary for a career in the creative industries.

The key skills that you will acquire

  • Computer skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash)
  • Drawing and Illustration skills (Still-life, Perspective, Caricature, Computer Graphics and Paper Sculpture)
  • Photography skills (Outdoor and Indoor Shooting, Studio Lighting and Photo Retouching)
  • Presentation skills (Verbal, Written and Digital)

 

Further Studies

Diploma in Graphic and Multimedia Design graduates who achieved a merit or distinction award is eligible to apply for direct entry into the final year of the Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design at Wanganui School of Design and University of Waikato, New Zealand.

Students may also seek credit transfer to partner universities for degree studies with advance standing.
