Sunway Monash Residence

Beyond just accommodations, Sunway Monash Residence (SMR) is a hub for students of various nationalities to experience an independent lifestyle in a residence with premium facilities and service surpassing that of private accommodations.

Students will have the option of staying in either Tower A, with 8 single rooms per unit, or Tower B, which is made up of ensuite (duplex) units, each with 5 single rooms with attached bathrooms. Ample space is available as SMR is able to house up to more than 2,000 residents.

Connected via a specially-built link bridge, SMR is within a 3-minutes walk away from Monash University Sunway campus. Sunway University/Sunway College is located 10 minutes away. With an emphasis on students’ convenience and safety, a “one-touch” entry and exit system via card access is implemented.

Residents enjoy best of both worlds: “on-campus” convenience and safety, and “off-campus” active and sporty lifestyle, with resident access to the gymnasium, swimming pool, basketball court and multipurpose hall equipped for indoor badminton and table tennis. As it is across all our residences, 24-hour security is provided by a dedicated and professionally trained team.

Residents can organize parties in the BBQ and picnic area, or go for daily walks in the parcourse area. There is also a service launderette and a convenience store ensuring most of the basic amenities are available in-house. Residents also enjoy the comfort and privacy of a room complete with air-conditioning and flat-screen TV for their entertainment needs. Individual food storage space is also available for residents to organize their own food items in the unit’s pantry. The modern and cosy cafe located on the ground floor serves as the residents’ regular eatery and hang-out spot.
