Sunway College has a range of pre-university programmes catering to the different needs of different students offering five internationally recognised pre-university programmes under one roof.

The Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT): Year 12 curriculum of Western Australia preparing students for the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) and allowing them to gain admissions into all Australian universities and other universities in the world. Score-counting advantage tabulates scores of the ‘Best-4’ subjects in determining the Tertiary Entrance Aggregate (TEA) required for university entrance, as opposed to other Australian Year 12 programmes where calculations are based on ‘Best-5’ subjects.

The GCE A-Level: Emphasises on theoretical knowledge and skills. The most recognised pre-university qualification in the world and accepted for entry into world-class universities. The A-Level programme here is offered as a 1.5-year programme while a special 1-year programme is also available to high achievers with excellent results in GCE O-levels/SPM or equivalent.

The Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP): Prepares students to graduate with the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). CIMP faculty here provides a blend of Canadian certified teachers and local lecturers. This qualification is recognised by universities around the world and offers a flexible curriculum based on continuous assessment and evaluation; where assessment is based on 70% coursework and 30% final examination.

The Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY): Designed by Monash academics and is an Australian Year 12 equivalent programme which allows a direct pathway to a full range of undergraduate degrees at the prestigious Monash University, Australia.

The Foundation in Arts Programme at Sunway College: A direct route for students to pursue undergraduate courses offered at Sunway College which are delivered in collaboration with Lancaster University, UK. Students who pursue a degree programme at Sunway College will obtain a degree with two distinguished certificates.

Sunway’s FIA graduates are proud achievers

Sunway’s Foundation in Arts (FIA) pre- university programme recently produced 119 graduates. Gerald Tan Lye Sern, the top student for FIA scored 90% grade average and received a full scholarship to continue  pursuing his undergraduate studies in Sunway University under the Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah Continuing Scholarship. Tan Wei Chun, Goh Zi Dong and Khoo JunHao were the other high scorers who graduated with a score of 90% grade average and given a scholarship each.

Twelve outstanding Cambridge GCE A-Level students of Sunway University College recently swept a total of 14 Cambridge International Fellowship Awards awarded by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). The pioneer intake of the 66 students in the Foundation in Arts (FIA) pre-university programme at Sunway took their first steps in December last year as proud bearers of the Foundation in Arts certificates.
