An Excellent Score for Sunway University College
Sunway University College has been placed among the very top institutions in the first ever official rating of all public and private universities and university colleges in the nation when it achieved an EXCELLENT rating in the MQA (Malaysian Qualifications Agency) Rating System for Institutions of Higher Learning (SETARA) 2009. The rating system measures quality of teaching and learning at the undergraduate level in universities and university colleges in Malaysia.

Sunway University College was among the 18 institutions in the Tier 5 or EXCELLENT status, placed at the same level as public universities such as Universiti Malaya and Universiti Sains Malaysia and all branch campuses of foreign universities.
The ratings are classified into six Tiers, ranging from Tier 1 as Weak to Tier 6 as Outstanding. There were no institutions in the highest classification of Tier 6.
“The SETARA rating is an official acknowledgment and recognition of the high level of performance of all staff and students of Sunway University College and hence everyone is congratulated on this very fine achievement” said Elizabeth Lee, its Executive Director.
