Sunway Sweeps Three Cambridge Brilliance Awards

The Cambridge Brilliance in Malaysia Awards by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) honours students who achieve the ‘Top in the World’ or ‘Top in Malaysia’ rankings in their A-Levels Examination. The ceremony today hailed the 2007 June examination’s top-performing students.

Indeed, Sunway has cause to celebrate for its students claimed three awards this time around – Ng Whit Ni came up Top in the World for Mathematics (AS Level Examination), Parth Partak won Top in Malaysia for Chemistry (AS Level Examination), while his counterpart, Beh Shao Min, claimed the equivalent for Economics. All three are students in the A-Level programme at Sunway University College.

She has applied to UK and Australian universities including Cambridge.

While Sunway A-Levels had always maintained an extremely high passing rate, it hit a high of 98.8% this year. It was hardly a surprise when Whit Ni came up top in Maths, considering the average passes in the past four years for Maths is a remarkable 98% in Sunway University College.
