Nothing but Brilliance by MUFY Sunway
It has become something of a tradition at Sunway University College for the Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY), a pre-U programme, to consistently produce outstanding students. The Monash College Group, Melbourne, the examination and awarding body for MUFY Worldwide recently announced that Leanne Ho Su Yee, a MUFY August 2006 student at Sunway University College achieved the highest overall score among all the MUFY providers worldwide in the recent June examinations. She also received the Monash Top Scorer Award. In all the six times that the Monash Top Scorer Award has been presented, MUFY Sunway University College won it on all the six occasions.
“It was a great honour to receive the award. All in all, the MUFY programme helped bring out the best in me. It was an enriching and fulfilling experience, both academically and socially. The lecturers are very dedicated and passionate and they were always there to help and motivate me” said Leanne.
MUFY, developed by Monash University academics as a pathway to Monash University and other reputable Australian universities is available worldwide at Sunway College, Johor Bahru, Taylors College, Melbourne, Vientiane College in Laos and Jakarta International College.

Leanne also received the Monash Subject Awards for Accounting, Economics and Mathematics B, sweeping three out of nine subject awards won by MUFY Sunway students. Leanne was awarded a full scholarship to further her studies at Monash University Malaysia. Leanne has chosen to read for a degree in Business & Commerce. Her classmates, Cheng Huiyaun and Christine Wong Xiu Ting were offered also offered full scholarships at Monash University, Malaysia. Huiyuan is pursuing engineering and Christine is studying Medicine.

Congratulations to Leanne, Huiyuan and Christine for their brilliant performance and to the rest of the August 2006 class on obtaining their MUFY certificates.
