The team leader, Dexter Wong said “It has been an invaluable experience. The competition sharpened our business thinking, research and statistical analysis skills but more importantly, it gave me a chance to lead and to work as a team. We had to have strong nerves to be able to make a presentation in front of such a large audience on three occasions. But we are all the more, wiser for it”. “I would like to thank the Sunway lecturers for their advice and encouragement without which we would not have made it thus far” he added.

Dexter and his team are working closely with the ICT R & D Centre at the School of Computer Technology to look into commercializing their business idea.

The Merit Award winners were lecturers Dr Cheng Fan Fah of the Australian Universities Programmes, Dr Loh Joo Pin of the American Degree Transfer Programme and Dr Lee Chiu Sze of the Monash University Foundation Programme, at Sunway. Their business plan was entitled E-value. The team won RM500 cash.
