The standard academic calendar of a programme is made up of several semesters in a year. Each semester (which can also be referred to as an 'instructional period') consists of a number of study weeks. The exam period for each semester continues immediately after the final study week, and the length of an exam period varies from programme to programme. Actual examination dates will normally be published during the semester.
The number of semesters in a programme is usually determined by the length of the programme. A minimum 9 semesters for an Undergraduate programme. If you are a student in a Pre-University programme, you may be able to complete your studies within 2 to 3 semesters.
Please note that the dates in the academic calendars of any programme are subject to change without prior notice. You are advised to refer to your school or academic department for clarification, if necessary.
